British Knights was founded in 1980, based in New York, the footwear company became popular with the hip hop scene in the early 90's. The shoes were infamously endorsed by MC Hammer, the marketing campaign helped British Knights gain some momentum. Unfortunately, they fell off the fashion radar intermittently until 2008 when they re-released their vintage 1989 shoe collection, which brought them back into the mainstream. In an industry that is all about credibility, British Knights is reliable, and maybe even timeless, with kicks that defeat competition with longevity alone.
