About Ed Hardy

Don Ed Hardy is an American tattoo artist, his style is inspired greatly by Japanese tattoo designs that he witnessed in an educational trip abroad in 1973. He has since become prominent for mixing the American and Japanese styles. In 2004, Christian Audigier bought the licensing rights to produce the clothing line based on Don Ed Hardy's brilliant designs. Ed Hardy stores are located throughout the world, notably in the United States and Europe, with wide distribution online. Ed Hardy has also made its presence known in the hip hop world with a style that targets that demo.
